Here I will show you how to make an awesome space panting. incredibly easy!!!

Step 1: Your supplies

Picture of your supplies temp_724232173.jpgtemp_-1085162039.jpg

paint : any colours of spray paint, rustoleum spray paint works really well although cheaper paint is also fine. you will need black , purple, orange and green.

paper : it is much better to use gloss paper as the paint doesn't get absorbed as it does on normal paper. also it shows colour a lot better than regular paper.

scrap magazines/plastic bag / cling wrap : all of these would work. I tend to use cling wrap. These are used to give planets texture.

planet stencils: these can be any circular shape you want. I have used plates, frisbees, salad dressing bottles, coins and lids from the paint bottles.

this is everything you need let's get started!

Step 2: Placing your planets

the first thing you want to do is place your stencils on the page to get an idea where they are going to be. Then gently spray black paint around the outside of the stencil, remove the stencil. You should be left with a black circle indicating where the planet is going to go.

Step 3: Making your planets

spray orange paint in the black circle. ( make sure there is no white).
then spray green over the orange.
finally using your plastic bag / magazine or cling rap gently scrunch the material up slightly then press down onto the planet. remove the material and you should be left with a nice texture.

Step 4: Shading the planets

The last thing you want to do is spray black paint around one side of the planet. This is to show a light source.

now cover your planet with the stencil

Step 5: Making the rest of space

now you can spray black paint everywhere else on the page. I like to spray a little bit of purple as well, as I think it gives a nicer colour and makes space look more lively than if it were just black.

Step 6: Stars

The last thing you want to do is make the stars. The way to do this is by spraying some white onto your finger and flick.

Step 7: Revealing your work

your artwork is now done. Take off the planet stencil. Let dry for about 5 mins and leave in an airy place overnight. feel free to leave any comments or suggestion :)
